Ranks

An eight-step ladder from visible newcomer to untraceable apex. Rank is not only a badge: every tier multiplies everything you earn.

Ranks are derived from your lifetime stars, so your status, and your boost, never drop. Every rank gets the essentials: a public rank badge on the leaderboard, a “Rank Up” notification when you climb, access to the Star Season dashboard, and the earning boost shown on its row. The unlocks below add on top of that.

How the rank boost works

The multiplier on each row applies to every star you earn while you sit at that rank. It stacks on top of the per-action rates in Stars, so at Obsidian, a shield that would pay 30 stars pays 120.

  • The boost is tied to your lifetime stars, so it only ever goes up. It never drops back down.
  • Your rank is read before each reward is counted, so the transaction that pushes you into a new rank does not retroactively boost itself. The higher rate starts on your next action.

The two ends of the ladder

Operative at 50 stars unlocks your referral code and fee share. Obsidian at 10,000 is the top rank, with the biggest allocation priority in future raises.

When a season ends

Ranks freeze when a season ends; new seasons launch later with fresh rewards. Your lifetime stars, and therefore the rank they earned, do not reset. See Star Season & leaderboard.
